2020 & 2021 were extremely challenging under the confinement and constant menace of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully there were some silver lining and lessons learned.
Tell us about the highlights or accomplishments of this academic year 2020/21, in spite of all!

I got a job offer to my dream job in Mexico

Thinking of the whole 4 years, what were the greatest challenges you faced? How did you overcome them?

Imposter syndrome! I overcame it by realizing that other students where privileged. Realizing that I even though I had to work twice as hard I earned my spot.

What were your proudest accomplishments or highlights from attending college?

Learned how to be independent without family. Defiantly hard when you're family oriented. Had a job in my career while in college. Met new people.

If you could go back in time 4 years ago, what would you tell your 18 year old self? If you could do-over, what would you do differently?

Even though every step of college was hard especially while working full time at the same time. I would do it all over again if it means I come out of college like the strong independent women that I am today.

What advice would you give to an incoming freshman?

Balance your academic life with personal life. Its all about balance!

Now that you have graduated, have you formulated any new short term / long term goals?

My goal is to work doing what I love (film). Travel and enjoy my family because life is too short.

How did being a Bella Scholar contribute to the success of achieving your goals?

Amazing support from the queen herself, Anita! And definitely a huge help with my books and transportation to classes. Without the Bella Scholar I would probably had to wait a semester/s to work-to save up in order to graduate to have enough.
