The Village Institute: Nurturing Resilience Through Community-Led Care

Bella continues to support organizations like The Village Institute (VI), an organization heavily driven by the immigrant and refugee communities they work alongside. With programs that uplift across multi-generations like The Little Village and Village Futures, VI strives to build strong and sustainable pathways from childhood to adulthood.

Who they are

VI is a holistic, family support center serving refugee and immigrant families in Northwest Aurora, Colorado. Rooted in relationship-building and cultural connection, the VI partners closely with families to support stability, growth, and belonging.

What they do

They offer a coordinated network of services designed to support families at every stage of life. By combining family advocacy, resource navigation, workforce and career development, early childhood education, and culturally responsive mental health support, they reduce barriers to opportunity and help families build strong, self-determined futures.

Why it’s important

Refugee and immigrant families often encounter complex systems that are difficult to navigate without trusted, consistent support. The VI responds by centering families and strengthening community connections, creating pathways to long-term economic stability, emotional wellbeing, and belonging. This work supports not only individual families, but also a stronger, more connected Aurora community.
