Changing Perspectives: Building Social Emotional Learning for Everyday Success

Changing Perspectives plays a vital role, now more than ever, in helping schools deliver quality and effective social emotional learning instruction. By students learning skills like how to identify and manage ones own emotions, think critically, how to form positive social relationships, and learn how to manage conflict, students build foundational learning blocks that set them up for success, but more importantly, to have happier and healthy lives.

Who they are

A global non-profit committed to systematic change, with the goal to foster social-emotional learning and cultivate inclusive and equitable learning environments for all students.

What they do

They go into schools and work directly with school administration, staff and families, teaching about the importance of social emotional learning and how to effectively use the curriculum provided. They provide 5 distinct resources in schools: curriculum resources, family workshops, professional development training, site visits, and virtual coaching.

Why it’s important

The skill sets taught through social emotional learning provide students with foundational building blocks to navigate challenges that they may encounter at school, work or home. And by supporting everyone that takes part in a student’s educational journey, local communities become more equitable and inclusive, which ultimately influences the greater world around us.
