What has been the biggest overall lesson that going to college has taught you?

Always do your planing and never trust advisors.

What did you learn about yourself?

To bet it all on my self. I entered college with complete blind eyes! Then I really tried and kept failing some classes and found ways to pass on my own. Learned my life lessons while I was doing this life thing.

2020 & 2021 were extremely challenging under the confinement and constant menace of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully there were some silver lining and lessons learned.
Tell us about the highlights or accomplishments of this academic year 2020/21, in spite of all!

I learned a lot of life lasting lessons and accomplished a lot, which I'm very grateful for.

Thinking of the whole 4 years, what were the greatest challenges you faced? How did you overcome them?

I think I knew my whole family depended on me, while understanding that was one of my reasons to do it. Also simply for myself, I knew I wanted a better future for me and my surroundings and that was my main drive. The main challenge I faced was just having a hard time in academic word. I personally like reading and doing stuff on my terms. When it becomes mandatory I start feeling uncomfortable.

What were your proudest accomplishments or highlights from attending college?

I would say to be able to attend University on a full ride, securing a internship/career before graduating is one of my proud moments to be able look back at it and be proud.

If you could go back in time 4 years ago, what would you tell your 18 year old self? If you could do-over, what would you do differently?

I would advise to be on top my academics, the main goal of yours it to do it for your self and understand that not everyone route for you or support you.

What advice would you give to an incoming freshman?

Just enjoy the ride and do what makes you happy.

Now that you have graduated, have you formulated any new short term / long term goals?

Short term goal would be to get into my career, learn as much as I can grow and become the best at it in longterm, maybe sooner.

How did being a Bella Scholar contribute to the success of achieving your goals?

I firmly believe that Bella Foundation, Anita, Juan and the whole team have supported me and my family to reach my goals and it was one of the main contributions. Supporting me with everything I needed, couldn't have asked for more. They were always the first ones to reach out and check on me and my progress, which I'm extremely proud of!
